At Talking For Teens, our vision goal is to establish a community where mental health is a top priority, ensuring individuals have access to the resources they need to thrive.
We aim to create an environment where every teenager feels empowered to prioritize their mental well-being and seek help without fear of judgment.
We strive to be recognized as a catalyst for positive change in how mental health is perceived and managed, while also serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for those facing challenges.
Our mission is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health while advocating for enhanced support for teenagers. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where young people can confront stigma and access any resources they need without restrictions. By empowering youth to prioritise their well-being, we aim to spark positive change in local communities and beyond.
Our primary objective is to make a positive impact not only in our local communities but also in all areas we can reach. We aspire for this to become a national priority, prompting the government to introduce new resources and funding for mental health support across the UK, including early support hubs.

The reason we had the idea of setting up a mental health advocacy group is because we noticed the lack of support young people get in the mental health system.
We have seen first handedly the detrimental impact it’s had on young people which is why we wanted to put something out there to be a voice people can believe in to help initiate a change.
Talking For Teens was originally founded by two young individuals called Owen & Sam.
We are fully self funded and have developed our resources independently. We are a non profit organisation - We do not gain any financial benefit from Talking For Teens as we aim to meet our key goals and missions set out.
We've been asked if we provide mental health support or a helpline ourselves multiple times.
The answer is no. Talking For Teens is not a professional support service instead we advocate on behalf of young people, pushing out campaigns to raise awareness on young people's mental health, supply services to people about alternative 3rd party professional support services and more. However, we are not a registered mental health support provider. If someone messages us seeking mental health assistance, we'll refer them to a third-party service.
We do have a new support hub so you can find the mental health support services available for you all in one place!
