Talking for Teens was created by young people, for young people. We know firsthand how tough it can be to talk about mental health and how important it is to have a space where your voice is heard without judgment. That’s why we built this platform: to make it easier for teens to find support, share their stories, and connect with others who understand.
Our mission is simple: to provide a safe, honest space for teens to talk openly about their mental health. We want to break down stigma, offer trusted support, and help every young person feel less alone, no matter what they’re going through.
Teen mental health can often feel invisible or misunderstood. Talking for Teens is here to change that, to be a voice where there wasn’t one before. Every story shared and every connection made helps build a community of support.

Talking For Teens is a nonprofit advocacy organisation centred on community that provides support and assistance to those in need while setting up campaigns and other programs to spread awareness and support our missions and key goals.
There are many ways to get involved with Talking For Teens, such as volunteering, becoming an ambassador, engaging with us via social media and more!
The reason we had the idea of setting up a mental health advocacy group is because we noticed the lack of support young people get in the mental health system.
We have seen first handedly the detrimental impact it’s had on young people which is why we wanted to put something out there to be a voice people can believe in to help initiate a change.
We are fully self funded and have developed our resources independently. We are a non profit organisation - We do not gain any financial benefit from Talking For Teens as we aim to meet our key goals and missions set out.
We've been asked if we provide mental health support or a helpline ourselves multiple times.
The answer is no. Talking For Teens is not a professional support service instead we advocate on behalf of young people, pushing out campaigns to raise awareness on young people's mental health, supply services to people about alternative 3rd party professional support services and more. However, we are not a registered mental health support provider. If someone messages us seeking mental health assistance, we'll refer them to a third-party service.
We do have a new support hub so you can find the mental health support services available for you all in one place!
